P2P
File-sharing is a broad term to describe the transfer of data between two entities. There are many different ways to share files - from one operating system to another using USB flash drives, from an email to another, and by using fax. More specifically, P2P, or Peer-to-Peer file sharing is utilizing software to download files online and further creating a network that facilitates other users who download and upload the same content. An example of P2P sharing is the Lending Club, which Google has invested $125 million in 2013. The Lending Club presents itself to be the platform where borrowers and lenders can partake in lending transactions online, without the need for a traditional bank.
